city1aWhat people have to say about our tours….

We did a tour of the city on one of the first days we got to town. Tony was the BEST!! We met up with him on Thursday and it was more than I could have asked for or expected. Tony is such a gem and he made the time fly by with his knowledge and love of New York City!

I just wanted to pass on that we had a FABULOUS tour with Tony on Saturday. He was awesome and honestly the perfect tour guide for what we were looking for in a tour. He was extremely knowledgable in all the sites!

Our walking tour with Hudson turned out to be a great time! We are back home and into the normal cycle of life now but we wanted to say a huge thank you for giving us such a superb tour of New York. Your attention to detail, the marvelous stories and the fact that you tailored the tour to meet our need was fantastic. I still can’t believe we walked 10 kilometers!!!! Seeing and hearing the story behind Rockefeller Center and the Plaza Hotel was worth the tour alone. We also appreciated that you explained the metro card and took us on the bus and subway to make us familiar with how to use those systems. That was invaluable. Exploring Central Park and then SoHo, Greenwich and Little Italy was awesome. There were so many things it is hard to describe them all. What was great was the depth of knowledge you had and the attention to detail. You were extremely flexible and by the end of the tour we felt that we had connected with a member of our extended family showing us around his home town.

It was an absolute pleasure and I would recommended this tour to all our friends.

Our family had a wonderful experience during our tour! Tony Lorenzo was our awesome tour guide. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and funny. He is a true New Yorker, born and raised in NY and very passionate about his great city. We had a wonderful time touring Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Greenwich Village, SOHO, Chinatown, Little Italy, Washington Square, & Ground Zero. We learned so much from Tony, more than we expected. Tony recommended Fresco Italian Restaurant, which was excellent, the best meal we had while in NYC. He also suggested great delis and Chinese restaurants, but due to our limited time we could not eat at those places. We’ll do so at our next NYC visit. He showed us how to use the subway to get to various parts of NYC. I’m a BIG fan of the tv series Blue Bloods and Tony showed us where the show is filmed. Unfortunately the show is on their season break, so we didn’t get to see them filming. Since Tony is also an actor, he showed us the areas in NYC where he has worked shooting different movies or tv series. Tony made sure my family and I were able to get the true NYC experience. He made the tour what we wanted and that was to learn as much about NYC in 6 hours and he exceeded our expectations. After our tour, we felt like true New Yorkers and we were able to explore the city on our own. I encourage others to take this tour early in your visit, then you will get a good feel for the city and how to travel through the subways(which are very easy, efficient, and inexpensive). Tony was the BEST tour guide anyone could ask for!

We booked a full day walking tour on our 2nd day in New York. We arrived on New Years Eve quiet late & we booked our tour on the January 2nd, 2013. It was the best way to get our bearings, learn the subway & see so many sights. Our tour guide Tony was fabulous & made sure our 10 year old daughter & 12 year old son were interested as well. We visited nearly everywhere on our list & even places we would never of thought about. His knowledge of the city is amazing & his passion for the people & history of places, events etc touch our hearts. Since being home we have recommended Tony to our friends & suggested his tour is the best way to see New York. Thank you Tony for our day, it one trip we will never forget!

If you’re searching for a NYC tour look no further. No need to read the reviews of other tours. This is the very BEST!! I’ve done many city tours over the years throughout the US and around the world. I can honestly say this was by far the best one. Our tour guide, Tony Lorenzo, was absolutely amazing. Born and raised in NYC, he knew the city like no other. We were so impressed how knowledgeable he was. Not only was he a fantastic guide but he was a wonderful man. A true Gentleman! Have fun in NYC!!

My wife did not want to do this tour. A 6 hour guided walking tour around New York was not high on her radar. Well, let me tell you she and my 3 teenage kids loved it. Even though it rained for the whole tour we all loved it. We had the pleasure of Tony Lorenzo for our tour. Tony has lived in NY all his life and it showed. Tony has been in a stack of movies and had a wealth of knowledge on locations and homes of the rich and famous. We had 7 nights in NY and as it was our first visit we settled in on our first day and did the tour on our second day. This then set us up for the rest of our stay to understand the streets and how NY worked. If you have been to NY before or not, do not miss out on this tour.

I went with a group of six to NY. Our guide was Tony, who is not only a great guy but understands a lot about movies (having made some cameos), so I thought that was very lucky for us (I’m a huge movie fan). We had already taken a tour in Greenwhich, but even then he had some nice new things to say about this classic neighborhood. Then we got to meet a bit of SoHo and TriBeCa and spend quite some time in the Financial District, which was wonderful. We took some very nice pictures and learned a whole lot about history, buildings, film sets, important places and people. Because there was some bad weather on the way, we had to rush a bit Chinatown and Little Italy, but we later got a chance to hang out more there and follow some of Tony’s tips, so we loved it.

My mother and I did the tour with Tony. We had already seen most of the big tourist attractions on a previous trip and were interested in seeing some of the neighborhoods but didn’t know how to go about it. We were going to do one of the sight-seeing buses, but reviews were very mixed.

We started in Greenwich Village and proceeded to SoHo, Little Italy, Chinatown, and ended in the Financial District. There were many cultural and historical highlights. Tony was very knowledgeable and fun. We were on a private tour so we could stop and rest whenever we wanted. It was a hot day so we took advantage of that!

I would highly recommend Tony!

We did a private tour with Tony, and it was worth every cent. I suggest doing this tour on your first full day in NYC. It was so wonderful not having to worry about maps and where we were going. My husband, 2 sons (ages 15 and 11), and I just followed Tony everywhere (and I mean everywhere) and enjoyed. He is an actor, and my husband loved all the television and movie trivia he provided. The tour is great to help get your bearings and figure out the subway, too! I think we all agree it was our favorite day of the trip. I definitely would recommend Tony to anyone. You will not regret it!

Tony Lorenzo was the best tour guide. Tony was waiting for us and his relaxed manner set the stage for a fantastic tour. Tony is a native New Yorker and he knows the city so well he could give a fellow New Yorker his tour and they would learn things they never knew. The tour was both educational and entertaining.

Tony showed us every area that the tour promised and then some! My son and I learned how to use the subway system because of Tony’ patience teaching us!! Tony also explained the bus system and after our tour we were confident to use N.Y.C’s public transportation system thus saving on taxi fare..
From Greenwich Village to Little Italy and beyond Tony gave us special insights, If you are looking for a fun filled and interesting tour be sure to book Tony as your guide!

As our tour guide, Tony showed us many things, making them all interesting. He has lived in NYC his whole life and has many stories to tell. He has in depth knowledge of the city and it’s citizens so by the end of the tour you feel like you know the place well. He took us to dinner to a lovely Italian restaurant owned by his family and we got to meet his friends and family which added to the feeling of belonging in this spectacular city. It was the best way to kick off our week’s visit and I highly recommend using this tour as an introduction to your stay. We did a 6 hour tour which actually ended up being 7-8 hours but we loved it!

As we were planning our trip to NYC we stumbled upon the website for Walk In My Shoes NY and we were so very glad to have found his site. We were shown around the city by Tony, who was absolutely wonderful, an interesting guy with stories of his own to tell about movies he has been in and movie stars he has met etc. As others have said, you feel like you are touring the city with a good friend. Tony was so friendly, outgoing and very knowledgeable about the sites of NYC. We had an absolute blast with him and our two teenage kids were not bored for one second. They loved this tour, and we all felt it was the best way to see the city and get a feel for it. Tony made sure we knew how to use the subways as well, so that we could find our way around the city on our own once the tour was complete.

I would recommend this tour to anyone as you can tell him ahead of time what you are interested in and he will tailor the tour to suit you. This was the best $350.00 we spent! We all felt like we had really “seen” NYC after taking the tour. Thanks so much to Tony for the great experience.

Tony met us at our apartment. We knew the things we wanted to see and things to skip. He made sure we covered everything plus some. He was a wealth of knowledge on the city and the film industry in NYC. We spent the entire day on the tour – I would highly recommend the tour – it is worth it!

Our family of 6 had an experience of a lifetime with our amazing tour guide, Tony Lorenzo. Tony gave us a tour of the real “Big Apple!” The things he showed us and the lessons he taught us made New York City come alive from the beginning to the end. Our ages range from 13 – 75 and he spoke to each of us on our own interest levels, showing us things we never dreamed of seeing in a one day tour. It seemed like whatever we hoped to do, Tony made it possible, even against all odds, including an unexpected knee injury that occurred while we were on the trip. He accommodated that circumstance with kindness and patience and made sure we didn’t have to miss the things we wanted to do and see. The way he gave the history of New York just brought it all to life and told the stories and secrets in a way we all understood and enjoyed so much. Because of Tony we were able to experience many things that we didn’t think would fit into our plans. It was a truly wonderful tour and Tony gets an “over-the-top” of the charts rating from each of us. In Tony’s words, “This tour was one for the books”! We had a wonderful time and we’ll tell everyone we know who to ask for if they go to NYC and want a fantastic tour…Tony, of course!
