Q: When should I schedule my tour?

A: I recommend that you schedule your tour on the first or second day of your visit. This way, your tour experiences will be fresh in your mind during the rest of your stay.

Q: Why should I submit my phone number when making a reservation?

A: We recommend that you provide a phone number by which you can be reached on the day of the tour. This way, your tour guide can get in touch with you if there are any short notice changes to the tour. This is New York – we have to be prepared for anything.

Q: Where Does The Tour Begin?

In almost all cases, your guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel. Your guide will make contact with you a day in advance either by phone, text or email to discuss the best time for your tour to begin.

Q: I have changed my mind and cannot come to the tour. Do I have to let you know?

A: Yes! Please give us at least a 24-hour notice before your tour starts. Our number of spots are limited and we often have to send away interested guests, because there is no more space. By letting us know in time (at least 24 hours ahead) that you cannot make it, we can open up the extra spot to other interested guests.

Q: Do the tours ever get cancelled for weather?

A: The show must go on! Our tours go out rain or shine. Dress appropriately for the conditions. If the weather is bad your guide will include as many “bad weather” indoor stops as possible. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. However, we may cancel or postpone the tour due to extreme weather. Please contact us for updates.

Q: Do the tours end where they start?

A: Yes! We will bring you back to your hotel to end your tour. We always make sure of your safety including getting you “home.”

Q: Will my kids like these tours?

A: That really depends on your kid. But generally all of our tours are suitable for children. Our tours are designed to be suitable for people of all ages.

Q: How long are the walks?

A: As you can see from the list of our tours, we offer 3 different types. The hours are stated after the description of each tour. We walk at a pace that is acceptable to you and one occasion, take a small ride using mass transit.

Q: Are the tours handicap accessible?

A: We will make every effort to make our tours accessible to the physically challenged.

Q: How much does it cost to do a private tour?

A: The Complete Tour is $350 for a party up to 6 people. We can accommodate more people, but we prefer to make it more intimate. You will appreciate the personal touch we provide unlike the big group and bus tours where you feel like the guide doesn’t even know you’re there. We also offer a shorter Uptown Tour and a Downtown Tour, each for $225. Please contact us for more information.
